With over 20 years of experience in the field of substance use treatment, Roderick Coleman Sr. brings deep expertise, leadership, and compassion to his role as Treatment Director at Awaken Recovery Counseling Center. A Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Roderick has dedicated his career to supporting individuals on their journey toward recovery and accountability.

His professional background includes extensive work within the prison system, where he provided trauma-informed counseling and facilitated change for justice-involved individuals navigating complex behavioral health challenges. Roderick’s approach is rooted in empathy, structure, and cultural responsiveness—ensuring that every client feels seen, respected, and empowered.

At Awaken Recovery Counseling Center, Roderick oversees the development and delivery of evidence-based chemical health programs, including Driving With Care Level 1 and Level 2.
